Terms of Use Draft — pending legal review

gearfixapp.co.uk/terms · Last updated 29 July 2026

1. The service

GearFix is a mobile app that automatically corrects the bike (gear) assigned to your activities on Strava, based on rules you define. You need a Strava account to use GearFix; connecting Dropbox is optional and enables sensor-level detection from your head unit's FIT files.

2. Your accounts

You sign in with Apple and connect your own Strava (and optionally Dropbox) accounts. You authorise GearFix to read your activities and update their gear on your behalf. You can revoke access at any time from Settings in the app, or from Strava and Dropbox directly. You're responsible for the rules you create and the changes they make to your activities.

3. Third-party services

GearFix is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Strava, Inc., Dropbox, Inc., Wahoo Fitness, Garmin Ltd., or Apple Inc. Their services are governed by their own terms. If a third-party API changes or becomes unavailable, parts of GearFix may stop working; we'll do our best to restore them but can't guarantee it.

4. Subscriptions

GearFix requires a Pro subscription: £1.99/month or £14.99/year (prices shown in the App Store for your region), including unlimited bikes and rules, sensor-level detection, and backfill. Every subscription starts with a 14-day free trial, and the app requires an active trial or subscription to use. Payment is charged to your Apple ID; subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store account settings. No commitment.

5. Fair use

Don't use GearFix to break Strava's terms, to access accounts that aren't yours, or to disrupt the service. We may suspend accounts that do.

6. Liability

GearFix modifies gear assignments only; it never deletes activities. The service is provided "as is"; to the extent permitted by law we're not liable for indirect losses, including incorrect gear assignments or third-party outages. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under UK law.

7. Changes & contact

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Questions: support@gearfixapp.co.uk.
